Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital is a 60-bed acute-care hospital located in the Horizon West community of Winter Garden, Florida. The facility offers a full complement of services, including heart care with full cardio-diagnostic capabilities, digestive health, emergency care, outpatient imaging and lab, orthopedic and sports medicine, reflux and esophageal disorders, and surgical services with specialties in general, thoracic, podiatric, orthopedic, advanced gynecological and minimally invasive robotic surgery. The hospital seamlessly integrates with the ER and medical pavilion that began serving the community in 2018.
Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital was built to grow along with the neighborhood as it expands. We are prepared for this expansion, with two floors set aside for the future as the number of patients grows. More than 4,750 physicians, representing more than 100 medical specialties and subspecialties have privileges across the Orlando Health system, which employs more than 27,000 team members and more than 1,500 physicians.
In FY 23, Orlando Health cared for 197,000 inpatients and 6.6 million outpatients. The healthcare system provided nearly $1.3 billion in total impact to the communities it serves in the form of community benefit programs and services, Medicare shortfalls, bad debt, community-building activities and capital investments in FY 22, the most recent period for which this information is available.
